I have to agree entirely. However I wouldn't author the article as "token liberal", all that does is make folks already disregard the relevant information you present. Like AshleyW, I appreciate that you pointed out the other services Planned Parenthood offers. I actually just went to a Planned Parenthood (not for an abortion, by the way, to get a prescription for birth control) for the first time yesterday, although I had long been a Planned Parenthood and pro-choice proponent. Not only was I not confronted by, or even saw the slightest glimpse of, anything having to do with abortion at all, the environment was comfortable and welcoming. I'm an adult, but still in college and under my parents general health care watch, and couldn't have asked my parents to go to the doctor to get a birth control prescription myself; my sexuality, especially as an adult, is my own buisness and PP recognizes that and offers affordable preventative options for adults and teens. for the amendment. Mr. Estep is right on some points, I don't want my money being used for those things. When a women has an option readily available,why not use it.

Planned Parenthood does provide good services for women. If a women is raped or has unprotected sex and sometimes accidents do happen, when a ****** breaks.There is a Morning- After Pill available.It must be used within 5 days. The Morning- After Pill works by keeping the woman's ovaries from releasing eggs. If each woman that has had unprotected sex, or an unforseen accident, or worse, has been raped,this would definately help the image of PP. Now then, on the topic. I do not approve of the aspect PP takes on the topic of abortion. I wish they would stop that, but I do recognize they contribute other worthy aspects to our nation. I say, improve on the good and get rid of the bad.

The father does not have any rights or say in an abortion. The Supreme Court ruled in Roe v Wade that pregnancy termination is strictly between a woman and her doctor. And, if a woman is over 18 she doesn’t need her parents’ permission or approval either. We are not property—of the State or of our parents after the age of consent. The final decision is a woman’s and a woman’s alone. It is not for you, our government, or even the sperm donor to decide!

AshleyW - there are othe sources of information than abortion clinics. Plus, the father also has leagle rites also. is he knows of this and wants the baby - he can leagally force the woman to carry the fetis full-term

Scotty you seem to be one of those conservatives who once again fails to look at the facts and evidence before making judgements. Many Planned Parenthoods don't even perform abortions so you can't lump the entire organization together. A woman doesn't choose to be raped so why therefore should she be forced to also carry the lifetime burden of rearing a child and be constantly reminded of the crime against her? Many women who choose abortion are doing society a favor. Having a child when you are a young, unprepared, uneducated woman is not doing anyone any favors. Most likely they will fail to get a higher education and become dependent on government assistance thus creating an even bigger burden on society and tax payers.
