Get some thrills with a new mystery!
A spy and assassin goes undercover to rescue a little girl from a cult in "The Innocent" by Taylor Stevens.
Vanessa Michael Munroe's life has taken some strange turns - from missionary's child to international spy and occassional assassin. But her life is closing in on her, giving her terrible and violent nightmares that she is acting out in real life. When old friend Logan, the adult child of a cult who has since escaped and made a life for himself, asks her to help save the daughter of one of his friends, Munroe sees her chance for new scenery and takes the case.
With a little help from her friend and backup (and possible would-be lover) Bradford, she travels to Buenos Aires to save young Hannah from a dark life and reunite her with her mother and her until recently unknown father. Danger surrounds Munroe at every corner but there's one thing she knows...danger should be scared of her.
I loved this story about a tough-as-nails spy with a tortured past who is fighting to overcome her demons and save a young girl in the process. This one kept me up all night reading, waiting to see if Hannah would finally make it out. If you enjoy a fast-paced thriller, check this one out.
"The Innocent" is published by Crown. It is $24 and 331 pages long.
